Quick Introduction

The evolution of electric vehicle battery technology has been driven by deficiencies in
older battery chemistries.

Lithium-based battery technology has become the market standard, but there are
concerns over its long-term sustainability, sensitivity towards higher temperature etc.

And this has resulted in the development
of various other battery kinds, such as
sodium-ion batteries, graphene-based
batteries, and a few other battery
technologies that are outlined further.

Graphene-Based Battery

Graphene is a strong conductor for electricity & heat with a large surface area, extremely
light, chemically inert, and flexible. It is also considered eco-friendly and sustainable.

Nickel Metal Hydride Battery

This battery has a longer operating temperature range, better lifecycle, recyclable nature,
and is also resistant to overcharging.

Sodium-ION Battery

A sodium-ion battery is a rechargeable type of battery. This battery type is able to integrate
sodium-ion cells and lithium-ion cells into one pack to deliver greater energy density.

Rechargeable Zn MnO2 Battery

Zn MnO2 is a type of rechargeable battery that has been developed by a research team at the University of Maryland. Zinc-manganese dioxide batteries are charged more quickly
than lithium-ion batteries.

Solid State Battery

Solid state battery can handle more temperature that any other type of battery. It has 2- 2.5 times more energy density than that of Li-ion battery and recharge rate is almost 5
times more.
